Love Action's Friday Fix
3.December.2010
Well, there's no getting away from it, December is upon is which means only one thing. We're going to be forced to listen to holiday music for the next 31 days wherever we go, whatever we do. My attitude? If you can't beat em, join em. So I've put together a mix of Christmas songs that are a little more... left field, and hopefully not too familiar. There's a sprinkling of non-Holiday tracks in too, so as not to completely saturate your morning in figgy pudding.
On the show this month:
Rocking Carol - New Order
Living in America - Dom
A Kind of Magic - The Mighty Stef
Too Much Christmas (feat. Katie Richardson) - The Jane Bradfords
Feliz Navidad - El Vez
I Wish It Was Christmas Today - Julian Casablancas
Back Door Santa - JET
There Ain't No Sanity Claus - The Sniveling Shits
Gossip - Cyril Neville
Funky Christmas - James Brown
Christmas Is a Comin (May God Bless You) - The Shitbirds
Wonderful Christmastime - Paul McCartney
Good Weekend - Art Brut
Flight Tonight - Avalanches
The First Blip Blop Noel - DMA-SC
Christmas in Malibu - The Rad Dudes
Christmas Will Be Magic Again - International Language
Christmas All Over Again - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Run Run Rudolph - The Humpers
White Christmas - Dishwalla
Frosty the Snowman - Man of Astroman
Backing music: was brought to you by Art of Noise (Moments in Love) & New Order (Ode to Joy)
Enjoy! And please feel free to send on requests for next month's show to: jessie@radionowhere.org!
