A modest plea to RadioNowhere listeners
These are well and truly precarious times we live in; no more so than in the world of online radio. The last year or so has seen Los Angeles station Indie 103.1 leave the airwaves and switch to internet only streaming; UK station 6Music, which operates under the BBC umbrella, is facing closure at the end of 2011; and most recently, just yesterday in fact, online radio legend WOXY.com ceased broadcasting with immediate effect due to financial difficulties, having just covered their city’s very own SXSW festival, and only having relocated to Austin from Cincinnati 6 months ago. What we’re trying to say here is that music, and especially the type of music you tune into RadioNowhere and these type of stations for, comes at a cost. These three stations have been great examples of championing the underground music scene, something we continue to provide here at RadioNowhere. If this type of unheard, new, rare, deleted, and just plain awesome music is your thing, then please help your friends here at RadioNowhere. A donation of just a few pounds, dollars, euros, yen makes all the difference to this small, independent station. Please help support us and ensure that we can continue to bring to you music you won’t hear anywhere else.

Thank you and love from
RadioNowhere
